2 Ingredient Hot Wings!
Hot wings? In my crock pot? Only two ingredients? YES PLEASE!
So you’ll need a package of wings from the meat section of your store. I get them fresh, not the frozen ones in the bag, but I’m sure those would work too. I’ve just personally never tried them. The ones I got cost me about ten bucks for 24 wings. But wings from my local wing place are more than ten bucks for just a dozen, so I say this is a budget friendly score.
Now the secret, magical, wonderful ingredient is… (Drumroll…)
Sweet Baby Ray’s Buffalo Chicken Sauce!
Not only is this sauce DELICIOUS, it cooks into the wings while they’re in the crockpot making for some of the most flavorful wings EVA!
If this sauce is too spicy for you, I recommend mixing in a little melted butter with the sauce that you pour into the crock pot over the wings.
So what you’re going to do is put the wings in the crockpot, then pour about 1/2-3/4 of the bottle over the wings. Put the lid on and cook em on low for no longer than 6 hours. I made the mistake of cooking them for about 7 hours and while they were still delicious, the meat was quite literally falling off the bone, and it made the “wings” kinda hard to eat.
These will make your ENTIRE house smell delicious! That was maybe my favorite part about making these, no wait, eating hem was. Definitely eating them.
Anyways, after about 5 1/2 hours, you can take the wings out of the crock pot and place them evenly on a cookie sheet. Broil them for 2 to 3 minutes. Take them out, serve them up, add more sauce.
This photo is of them AFTER I broiled them and before anyone added anymore sauce. You can see how the original sauce soaks into the skin, and then broiling the wings make them nice and crispy.
Dip them in ranch, or blue cheese! Or you can make my nacho cheese dip to go with them if you’re hosting a football party, or any other kind of party for that matter!
